Lance has worked extensively with a variety of emerging technology firms and is the “godfather” of federal / provincial tax credit systems.

Matt Toner / Entrepreneur-in-Residence

Working in New York, Toronto, Vancouver and Silicon Valley, Matt launched half a dozen startups and has been recognized by TIME and Fast Company magazines.

Byron Seef / Venture Operations

Byron is a strategic leader with experience working alongside investors, founders and project teams of varying scale and across industries, to optimize for operational effectiveness, growth planning and implementation of strategic priorities.

ANGELA HAMILTON / Venture Consultant

With 16 years of experience in entrepreneurship in New York, Washington, D.C., and Vancouver, Angela has led several startups and has expertise in business strategy, pitching, storytelling, and social impact.

Ify Ibeto / Venture Analyst

Ify is experienced in process improvement and compliance monitoring. She supports Founders on their funding journey, with a strong background in financial due diligence and research based analysis that informs recommendations and operational strategies.

Stewart Guenther / Venture Capital

With over 20 years working with clients ranging from pure startups to multi-billion dollar corporations, Stewart is a seasoned Silicon Valley investor, and a co-founder of various venture, private equity and family office funds, deploying millions of dollars of capital.

Denis Morozov / Investment Analyst

Working with deep technology companies across Europe, Denis has extensive experience establishing partnerships, coordinating projects, and consulting on business & technological development.

George Lazovoi / Investment Analyst

Earning his Ph.D. in Economics, George worked on financial modeling and forecasting in large companies focusing on engineering services, taxes and metalworking.

Anica Jestratijevic / Growth Associate

Working on business design and development of several start-ups in Atlantic Canada, Anica understands the entrepreneurial mindset and has experience building the processes that support the start-up ecosystems.

Michael Lavigne is a highly accomplished executive with a distinguished career at Panasonic and various executive positions, with exceptional proficiency in business planning, operations, sales, marketing, strategic planning, and executive coaching.

Unlike some other investors, we aren’t necessarily in love with a good pitch deck.

Instead the team at Shred Capital works alongside you to help push your business to the next level.

Maybe it’s negotiating a merger or acquisition.

Maybe it’s optimizing the alphabet soup of tax credits (SR&ED, IDMTC, etc).

Maybe it’s acceleration for non-dilutive financing via programs like the Canada Media Fund.

This lets us get to know you, your team, and your technology inside and out. And that working relationship allows us to structure the best long-term financing solutions for your company.
